ELP PART C
My group's cloth designs.
a. My group design.
It's the picture above.
b. A description of what is our group product.
Our group line is basically to stop child labour. Infront of the shirt will be the right hand side of the paper and behind the shirt will be the left hand side one.
c. An explanation of how relates to human rights.
It relates to human rights because in the United Declaration of Human Rights, Article 4 is "No Slavery" but child slavery is still on and "The Right to not to work under the age of 18" but there are some children below 18 are working and not having an education.
d. A description of what role you played in the design and production and how you worked as a group.
We are going to design the shirt and hat together.

My top tip for asking + answering questions are:
- You have to know about the subject in order to answer them.
- Develop your questioning and answering skills.
- It's hard to ask and answer by not using the taboo word.
- It's hard to make people to say the word
- Hard to come up with question
- Learn new vocabulary
- The more specific your question is, the more exact relevant your answer will be
- You can replace some words for other than be more specific.

MOST of them
2. What are the main similarities?
We got the main points.
3. What are the main differences?
We got some data wrong, like instead of billion, we wrote million.
4. Did your group effectively indentify+summarise the articles? Why or why not?
Yes, because we got the main points, even though we got some errors.
C. On your blog answer the 'learning questions'
1. What am I learning while I am doing this?
I am learning how to summarize while doing this.
2. What am I doing?
I am writing a summarized article.

Team role that best fits me
I think that I am a coordinator. An example of is when doing the poster, I was making sure that everyone is my group are doing something, a bit like a shaper, but a nicer one(according to Ryan :P)
One problem is that shapers are like the opposite of coordinator. Coordinators ask for advices, while shapers just shout! I can't set my own deadlines! I need to set my own deadline-my goal!

Peer assessment part 4!
Peer Assessment by Josh
Reflection & self evaluation:
a. What have you learnt from the peer assessment? How can you use this to develop your own learning?
I had learn that I could have put more empathy in my work from Josh's comment. Empathy is one of the important key in Humanities, without it, it will be quite difficult to understand the task we are doing.
b. What new targets do you need to set yourself?
If I can do this again, I would use Fakewall, like how Josh used because I found it quite useful. It also show lots of empathy, like Facebook.

The History of Human Rights
Guess:
How long have human rights been around for?
Since 1800.
Learning Triangle:
1 thing I already knew:
<3 Human Rights exist-there are 30 of them.
2 things I don't understand/questions:
<3 the history of human rights(don't really understand)
<3 exact date Human Rights were made
3 things I learnt today
<3 the Cyrus the Great declared Natural law
<3 what the U.N is
<3 Cyrus said that people can choose their own religion.
Timeline
no rights(3000 BC)
Cyrus the Great declared there should be rights-said that people can choose their own religion and slaves are free. (539 BC)

The Most Important Rights.....!!
I think the most important right is the right to freedom. This is because without freedom, you won't get a good life, instead you will get tortured.
3 things...
I have learnt from marking other work is
(i)when writing introduction, write a good introduction-begin by going straight to the point
(ii)when writing, write a conclusion.
(iii) use events and changes to link your ideas
If write this asssignment again, I would improve are
(i) write a good introduction and ending with a good conclusion
(ii) use real people to support my ideas.
(iii)give reasons on why the rights I chose were related to the topic.

Empathy
a) How do you think the boy in the cartoon feels?
--> what emotions? why?
I think the boy in the cartoon feels that he is quite sad because he had been working all day long just to make footballs. He doesn't have any freedom to play, he just keep on making footballs.
b) What hopes+dreams do you think he has?
I think his dream to play football and to get freedom. He wants to see his friends and have fun with them, but he couldn't
c) What could we do to help?
We could help is giving him some money and maybe parents should do it instead of children. Children have to right to learn and get freedom, not working adult works. We could also stop child labour is donating and support the campaign that stop child labour.

My Slave Diary Entry 5
OMG!!! Today was a very tiring day. In the early morning about 4 am(are you serious that the sun rises early?!?), my master woke me up and forced to work in the cotton field. Before going in the field, my owner gave me a cold bacon! I can't eat it! I'm a Muslim, but I have no choice. After eating, I straight away go to the field. In the field under the hot blazing sun, I worked and worked and I don't have a break. While working, my neighbor was crying. She told me that his master bit her and used a knife to cut off her ear. It was terrible and I started to worry that my master might do this to me. She also told me that her master will whip her if she didn't work hard enough. Slaves will be branded, stabbed, tarred and feathered(meaning: smeared with tar and then covered with feathers as a punishment), burned, shackled, tortured, maimed, crippled, mutilated and castrated. At 3pm, my master's wife called me in and I started to house work, like mopping the floor. At least this is better than working outside. My owner's wife is kind to me that I could worked while the fan is on. My master is a person who thinks that I'm a dog! That's really mean, I have feelings just like the White people. My master went to work until the evening.
When my master came back from work, he chased me out of the house and forced to work in the coffee field. I have to worked on 2 fields each day: the coffee field and the cotton field. After 6 hours working in the field, my master allowed me to continue working in the house. I washed the dishes, mopped the floor and cleaning the room. At 12am, my master sent me to bed. It was really a hard work. Now, I need to sleep. Tomorrow is another hard day.

Dear Diary,

auction
It was a long trip, from Africa all the way to America. It was very smelly, sweat and urgh…it just stinks! Lots of us died on the way. Most of us got punished when we talk or sing! We love singing when we worked, but the White people wouldn’t allow. :@.After that long trip, we have arrived America. What a big country it is. I always want to travel America, a great thing to experience. But, here I am a slave. Those white people brought us to a room where we’re going to be coated with oil, to make us look shiny and healthy, so that the White people won’t see any scars or white patches. It hurts a lot. Then, we were thrown into a big cage and I realised it was in an auction. It was full of White and White people! They were going to sell us! I don’t want to leave my friends. :( That’s not fair! After a while, I was sold to a woman. So, I was in a carriage, but it was not sitting in a carriage. It was standing in the back of the carriage. The White people were being mean to us! I wished I could run away, but I can't. As being slaves, we have a law. This law is very serious one. It includes the rule when we're trying to run away, we will be branded with a iron. I wish my owners are nice to me. I'm going to have a busy day tomorrow, from early morning to take care of the cotton field and worked as a maid in the afternoon. So, I better get some sleep.

in the boat-the white people are being mean to us
Dear Diary,
I was right. My sister and I were separated. I was chained up, from head to toe. I was with some of friends, but most of them were males. It was smelly, and disgusting (urgh!). After a while, I was unchained, but my friends and I have to break our thumbs. I was really scared but that’s was they wanted to do. We screamed but failed again. Luckily, I don’t have to break my thumbs, but going to send the captain. I am going to be sent to the captain after dinner. Meanwhile, the males have to exercise, but the workers on the ship threw water at them. They threw water at the scars. It hurts because they’ve been hit a lot. Some of them cried and some screamed.
Below the deck, the stench is making me sick that I wanted to die. Some of them died and they were thrown into the sea full with sharks. At dinner, it was terrible. The food was just white stickiness, look like sticky rice. It tastes terrible. After dinner, that stupid first mate just unchained me and pulled me to the Captain’s room. The Captain was furious that the first mate brought me here. After that, he left the room so in the room only the Captain and me. He asked me questions but I am not dared to answer them. He seemed to look nice, unlike the First Mate. I was scared that I couldn’t even speak. After that, the Captain called the first mate to bring me back to the deck.Urgh…Everything in the boat is terrible!! :@
My Slave Diary Entry 2
Dear Diary,
Today was creepy. My sister and I left to mind the house. Suddenly, two men and a woman came up from nowhere, trying to capture us. We ran and ran, even though we were so tired. We ran until we came into a land where nobody was there, but surrounded by those people that were chasing us.
We tried to scream for help, but we failed. Those people whipped us and we both felt back. Quickly, they stuffed both of us into a sack each. We were far away apart and I bet that our parents are going to so worried that we’re missing. I was really scared. I have no way but following the road that I am going-to be captured.

My Slave Diary Entry 1

peaceful life in Africa
Dear Diary,
Today was great! Life is peaceful and just…great! Even though our family is poor, we still in a community and help each other. My daily life was just taking care of the animals, especially the goats. That’s how we get our food from-hunting, fishing. We can’t plant vegetables and fruits because of the weather. The weather in Ghana is in December to February is the dry season. The temperature is day temperature is 27-36oC and in night temperature is 18-26oC. The hottest dry season is in July and August. The rainy season is from April to June, which shows that this weather is not good for planting plants. We don’t wear clothes like in other countries. We just wear a long piece of calico, wrapped around our body.
I am really happy that I got a life being simple, even though we are poor.
Today, my parents sent my sister and me to a teacher that I have to dance for the boys who are becoming men. I think that I have to propose for them for marriage. Oh well, I have not idea but it’s fun.
After practising our dance moves, we went to a land and perform in front the men. After that, my parents show my sister and me to a house that they created for us. I was really happy.

Year 8 trip(day 2)
Day 2:
At 7am, my friends and I woke up by our awesome teacher Ms Suzy. After we had changed, we went for breakfast. Just like yesterday, we had a spectacular breakfast. Then, it was time to leave Bukit Tinggi and travel to Cherating. It was a long drive, it was 3 hours. Most of us in the bus slept since it was a long journey. After we had arrived,we were happy that we had arrived. Instead of having a buffet lunch, we had packed lunch. While I was getting my lunch, it was started to rain heavily. We were dashing back to the hotel and luckily we were not soaking wet. We had an enjoyable lunch. Then, we went to our rooms. After that, we went to the Cherating Beach. The scene was fantastic. I loved the sound of the waves and the soft sand. Then, we learned about the waves. There are 2 main types of waves, one is called constructive waves and another is called deconstructive waves. In Cherating Beach, the type of wave is called deconstructive wave. Here is a picture of what I learned about deconstructive wave:

Year 8 trip(day 1)
On 8th March to 10th of March, we went to Bukit Tinggi and Cherating for school trip. It was awesome.
Here is what we did:

8th March(Tuesday)
At 8.30am, we hopped on the bus. We reached Bukit Tinggi around 10.30 am. When we reached there, we went to the reception. We were still happy even though it's drizzling. Instead we checked in our hotel, we went to a room where we learned about the types of shots taken in movies, magazines and more. It took about 1 hour to learn. It was interesting. Then, we checked in our hotel. Some of us had troubled finding our rooms and we are really far apart from each other. So, the teachers decided that they are going to change our rooms so that we can close to each other. Then, we had lunch. Lunch was fantastic. The food was delicious! There were laughter and joy while we were eating. Next, we walked to a man-made water playground where we did cool stuffs, like rope crossing. My favourite part what I did was rope crossing because I didn't know that I could walked across the river by holding the rope and walked on the rope. After we had done doing the activities, we made a raft. After we had done making it, we had a race! It was a fun experience. Guess which team won? My team won! Then, we went back to our hotel to get change. When my friends went to our hotel, it was really cosy, it was almost like home. But surprisingly, there wasn't any electricity. Luckily, our teacher Ms Suzy, called someone to fix it! After a while, the guy came and fixed it, it only take about 5 seconds!

After we get change, we went for dinner. Dinner was fantastic too! After we had dinner, we went back to the room that we met in the morning to have a fun quiz! At 10pm, we went back to our room and slept.
