Getting Started:
Conflict means that having a disagreement. Looking at the picture I was looking up on Google, it looks like that it's a serious disagreement or argument.
The picture to show:Dictionary definition:
a serious disagreement or argument, typically a protracted one
Compare your responses: How similar or different were your definitions? Why do you think this is?
My definition and the dictionary's definition are almost the same. I think this because they have the same idea: a serious disagreement or argument.
Reflection after the argument
Me, Helen and Nazirah had an argument about the orange. Helen and Nazirah wanted the orange, the whole orange. Before they tell what they wanted for, I had problems to find out the solutions. After telling what they wanted the orange, it was easy to find the solutions. I learnt about conflict is that there's a lack of conflict.

This comic shows a chain reaction - Serbia and Austria is having a fight, Russia supported Serbia by going to hit Austria. Germany supported Austria by hurting Russia. It also shows how big is the country - Serbia is a small country so the 'person' is a kid while Russia is a big country therefore the person is 'big' (I'm trying to be nice (: )

- Long term:
- Short term: Someone triggers an event
4. Baldrick says the war started because of the assassination. He believes that the war has a short term cause.
Blackadder develops this explanation by saying that they need a lot of effort to be able to start a war. He believes the war has long term causes.

The assassination of Franz Ferdinand
- WHO: ASSASSIN & ASSASSINATED - 'job' as well
Franz Ferdinand and Sophie got assassinated and Gavrilo Princip assassinated them. - WHAT: A BRIEF OUTLINE OF WHAT HAPPENED ON THE DAY
Franz Urban, their driver, drove Franz Ferdinand and Sophie through the streets of Sarajevo on their way to visit the city hall. Nedjelko Carbrinovic, who made the first attempt, threw a grenade at the Archduke's car, but it missed. The Archduke proceded to the city hall and after meeting there, decided he wanted to go to the city hospital to visit those who were injured in the first attempt. When he left the city hall, his driver, Franz Urban, began to drive to the hospital, but accidentally made a wrong turn. There Gavrilo Princip saw and shot them. - WHY: WHY ASSASSINATION TOOK PLACE? WHY WAS SUCCESSFUL. Assassination took place because they wanted independence for their country. Because of this, they wanted to have a war.
- WHEN: What date did this take place? 28 June 1914.
- WHERE? Name the location Can you find a map? It was in Sarajevo, Austria.
- Can you think how this event could have led to one of the greatest armed conflicts in history?I think this even could have led to one of the greatest armed conflicts in history because of the chain reaction - Austria attacked Serbia, Russia attacked Austria for 'hurting' Serbia. This shows that more and more countries will be 'supporting' each other and there will be 2 sides. Therefore, a huge war will happened.
- Can we explain such wars by looking back to a single event/factor?No, because there maybe more than an event.
- What else do you think may be involved?
Militarism , Alliance , Imperialism , Nationalism - Is this a short term or long term effect? Explain your answer...
I think these are long term effects as they need a long time to plan it.

(9th July 2012)What will my WW1 Recruitment poster look like and Why/How it would persuade people to join up?My poster will look like a guy pointing at you and said 'You Want to be a Man? Join the war and you will be one.' . I think this would persuade people to join up because men wanted to be men, so that they can get 'ladies'.
